Tucked away at 214 Brontosaurus Blvd, this charming eatery has become a staple for both locals and travelers alike, renowned for its hot and cold sandwiches, as well as homemade ice cream that tantalizes the taste buds.
As you step through the doors, the aroma of freshly grilled sandwiches wafts through the air, inviting you to explore a menu that boasts unique creations. “ I ate at the Bedrock Depot many years ago and was just sitting on the couch with my partner relaying the contents of one of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten - good ol’ Steggie’s Lunch. This must have been four years ago and I still think about this sandwich - I even have the paper menu in my car from our visit. Definitely worth a visit! ”
“ We stopped in because it was super hot and my husband had just been saying he wished he had a milkshake. We were so glad we did! This place is owned by the sweetest couple with the most interesting story, and the lady makes the ice cream herself. It’s SO GOOD! I had an Americano coffee and it was really good, too. We browsed around in the little shop and bought a few things, but the best part was the food and chatting with the couple. Absolutely recommend. ”
“ Cute little stop. If you drive past, turn around - you won’t be sorry. We sat on the little patio and had the ham & cheese, pepperoni pizza and Turkey/pesto - everything was delicious. Also, chocolate malts - best malts we’ve had!!! Thank you. ”
“ Adorable place with delicious ice cream and sandwiches! You’re truly missing out if you don’t stop in! ”
“ What a gem!!! This was such a nice find coming from a backpack and camping trip in Yampa, Colorado back home to SLC, Utah. The hot sandwiches were really good but the reviews about homemade ice cream sealed the deal on us stopping by. I work for Normal Ice Cream in SLC, Utah so my expectations are extremely high and Bedrock Depot’s was very close to what I’m used to so I’m here to say you must try it!!! It was unique and very delicious. Thanks for the friendly, service too! ”
“ What an incredible ice cream and sandwich shop in the middle of nowhere. The strawberry milkshakes are fantastic, and the children loved that she carried book marks in her store for summer reading! ”
“ This cosy diner is a gem in the desert town of Dinosaur, Colorado with good panini sandwiches and ice cream, particularly the fresh plums one! The owners are a nice couple who prepare the food while you browse their cool crafts store and engage in friendly chat. It's the last pit stop before heading to Harper's Corner in the Dinosaur National Monument for epic views of canyons where the dinosaurs roamed once ”
“ Delicious food and great service! 10/10 would eat here again. ”
